Just received this shirt in the post from Tim Stamp. It's a short sleeve repro of the MAX shirt that I wore in 1982.
It's a high quality screen print on a 'Super-Premium' Fruit of the Loom and a limited run of 20 pieces.
Tim also excelled himself last year with a repro BICYCLE MOTOCROSS ACTION MAGAZINE long sleeve.
The BMX ACTION shirts are long gone but the MAX design, at this moment, is still available. If anybody wants one, get in touch and I'll pass on Tim's contact details.
Yep, took me RIGHT to the spot man. Chorley Bombhole and Chorley BMX Track. The Bombhole was the scene of one of the best crashes I ever witnessed. A non Bmx friend borrowed my bike and hit the fabled jump at pace. He pulled a no footed Hannah, landed on the point of the seat which entered him where the sun don't shine. The bike then left him as he fell flat on his face breaking his nose. The sight of him running around holding his nose and arse at the some time will stay with me forever. I'll leave his name out, he has suffered enough!
