Jailcell Recipes 'Arm-Twister'

Here is another JAILCELL RECIPES clip from youtube.
This song is taken from the POULTON RD EP on First Strike Records in 1989.
The ep had 4 tracks: ARM-TWISTER, FORCED, THOSE LONG DAYS AND DEAD SERIOUS.Dead serious was an ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT cover.
For any who might care about such things this was the best recording the band made. It was recorded at Whitehouse Studios in Weston super Mare, same place as RIPCORD and HERESY. There was 2 pressings first pressing of 1000 black vinyl with a red logo sticker on the cover, second pressing of 2000 grey marble vinyl with no sticker.

North Atlantic Noise Attack

Just found this on Youtube. Its the 3 tracks UK hardcore band JAILCELL RECIPES recorded in late 1988 for an international compilation. I was the bass player in this band. We had trouble recording the 3rd track, it took a zillion takes and if you listen all the way to the end, you can hear us cheer when we get to the end of the song.

1977 XS 650 Cafe Racer

Here is my Cafe Racer built in Springtime 2009. Its a '77 Yamaha XS650 Roadster. Its a US import, first registered in the UK in '79. I bought the bike originally to build a flat track race bike but soon changed my mind when a race ready Rotax in a dirt track frame came up for sale.
The XS650 was then duly banished to the shed for 5 years until I decided to drag it out and get it running . I ran it pretty much as was for the summer of 2008 then we did a complete rebuild over that winter. I didn't get to ride it as much as I would have liked and only just finished 'running in' the freshened -up motor at the end of last year.I'm looking forward to getting out on it this coming Spring.

KILL ME...I NEED THE REST

Here are some pictures of Duane Peters and the U.S.Bombs from at least a decade ago.This is the first time we met.It was after a poorly promoted show in Derby and the band ended up with no place to stay, so we put 'em up for a couple of days.

Duane has always been a hero of mine and  it was really great to get to know him. I think everybody concerned had a good time, we made stencil tee shirts, rode my motorcycles, ate nice food and skated the pool my company built in Stockport.

The highlight was going shopping  for breakfast with  Duane . We rode on the chopper to Kwik Save and Duane bought sausages for the band. He really freaked  out the woman on the meat counter wanting to know the difference between Cumberland and Lincolnshire sausages.

U.S. Bombs have had many line up changes over the years but this one was classic : Kerry Martinez  (guitar)

Wade Walston (bass), Johnny Two-Bags (2nd. guitar) Chip Hanna (drums) and Duane Peters (vocals).

I believe that things have gone full circle and this is once more the current line up.

Don't try this at home...

 A few years ago, there was an eclipse of the sun. It happened mid-summer at around midday, when the sun was at its fiercest .

The eclipse attracted a lot of media attention and people were advised, in no uncertain terms, NOT to look directly at it. Not wanting to miss out, I came up with the bright (no pun intended) idea of donning 4 pairs of sunglasses in order to witness this once in a lifetime event in all its heavenly glory. For the purpose of the story I would like to be able to tell you that this reckless act caused me to sizzle my retinas but no..... it worked a treat.

All tuckered out........

Only a short post tonight....had a couple of big days working outside, constucting a practice track with another even bigger day tomorrow. It's bitterly cold.....so its early to bed with a lovely cup of Horlicks. Night-Night!
