Pitstop Motorcycles open day

Spent most of Saturday down at the PITSTOP MOTORCYCLES open day. The sun was out and a steady flow of biker folks came along throughout the day to check out the bikes, eat hot-dogs and have a cuppa.
The idea is to get new and old folks into the shop, get them interested in bikes or just get people to go out and buy stuff locally, not just off the internet....SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MOTORCYCLE SHOP!!
Tony the owner (that's him sat on the Triumph) also had some of his collection of vintage toys on display including a JOHNNY SEVEN rifle, ACTION MAN items and a MAN FROM UNCLE handgun.
I was there with some of the Skooter Farm bikes just raising awareness of the UK Dirt Track racing scene.
Had a tv hooked up playing vintage movies that had people transfixed. Just generally trying to spread the word about the fairly local upcoming Stoke race (under floodlights) on Saturday 10th July. Its round 4 of the National championship and its free entry for spectators.

  1. Looks like a good day out there. I got my eye on those Chopper bikes on the balcony and the laa'l SS50 in the foreground. Cool...

  2. Hey BCB, you missed that little peach hidin' behind the SS. That's an SL125. I've got a mint one in the back of mi shed somewhere.
When DA puts on a show, he puts on a show thats for sure.

  3. The blue Raleigh Chopper belongs to me!!
Restored it about 15 years ago. Paul the mechanic at the shop, just finished the purple one the night before the open day......

  4. Looks like a good day mate !
Gettin the word out on the street .
